Jeff Fegan has over 40 years in the Airport Industry including 29 years with the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport – 19 years as the Chief Executive Officer. Since named CEO in 1994, Jeff transformed the Airport into a high performance, entrepreneurial enterprise with a reputation of “Excellence” in virtually all aspects of the operation.

Under Jeff’s visionary leadership, DFW Airport was developed into one of the the highest capacity Airports in the world and was known internationally for its customer service. Jeff is considered a pioneer and innovator in Airport Commercialization. Under his leadership, DFW was one of the first to embrace the Airport City/Aerotropolis concept which has resulted in significant new Commercial Development and substantial new revenues for the Airport from projects such as major industrial parks, hotels, foreign trade zone developments and the exploration of natural gas. He has introduced a number of innovations in airport concessions and led DFW Airport to be one of the first Airports to embrace corporate marketing and advertisement agreements with partners such as Pepsi and AT&T.

Jeff Fegan clearly understands the importance of attracting new airline service to maximize the economic benefits of the Airport to the community. During his tenure at DFW, Jeff focused significant efforts on Air Service Development leading to DFW Airport’s position as one of the top Connecting Hubs in the World with service to over 200 destinations including over 55 International Destinations. Jeff’s resolve to ensure that DFW could handle future demands resulted in a number of major Capital Improvement Programs involving over $5 billion in new infrastructure during his tenure.

In addition to his success as a builder of massive infrastructure, Jeff has also been a builder of high performance teams that drove DFW’s reputation for Excellence. As a result of his transformational leadership, DFW Airport has developed one of the strongest Brands in the Industry. At the time of his retirement from DFW, Mr. Fegan had put into place a Strategic Plan to set the course for the future.

Prior to joining DFW in 1984 as the Airport’s Chief Planner, Jeff worked in the Airport Consulting Industry starting his career in 1978. He earned a Master of City Planning degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Frostburg University in Maryland and completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University.

Jeff’s personal quest is to help other Aviation Professionals achieve success by providing Strategic Advisory Services to Airport and Aviation clients and facilitate Connecting the needs of the Aviation Industry with Service Providers and Products.

Since Retiring from DFW, Jeff has provided Advisory Services to Airports and private sector clients in areas of Master Planning, Strategic Planning, Commercial Development, Covid 19 response and P3 privatization proposals. Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
